Faun Dublin - President/

Founder 2019

Faun is a first generation American with roots in the small Caribbean island Antigua. She grew up on the East Coast in New York. She is currently a First Responder in King County, Seattle where she works as an EMT, a peer support counselor, and is a member of the Disaster Response Team and Wildland Fire Rescue. Faun has a MBA in Healthcare Management and volunteers her time with King County Public Health, and the Renton Emergency Management Dept where she helps city planning and elements of disaster response. She is passionate about helping those that are under-served, and uplifting women. Faun enjoys traveling, Caribbean food, and spending time with her friends and family.

Marcia Dueñas

Co-founder 2019

Marcia is currently a Treasury Operations Analyst for a major bank in NYC, where she resides.  Some of her responsibilities include global cash management and cash forecasting. Marcia is a first-generation Ecuadorian American who earned her B.S. in Finance from SUNY College of Old Westbury . She then went on to complete her MBA with a concentration in Management from Molloy College, NY where she was inducted as a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. All the while working full time in Finance and providing financial support for her parents and grandmother  Marcia is dedicated and highly motivated to her career and with the community she serves. She works with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a Wish Granter and has donated her time with organizations such as, Habitat for Humanity and Roads 2 Success. When she’s not working, she can be found taking long walks with her two huskies or practicing yoga.

Nneka Nicholas -

Secretary 2019

Nneka Nicholas hails from a small island called Antigua and Barbuda. She is passionate about the environment and creating a world where people of all genders feel respected in their bodies. Nneka is a student at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica pursuing her Legal Education Certificate. She has a bachelors in Law from the University of the West Indies. She has been at the Department of Environment for 5 years. Nneka is most proud of being instrumental in crafting and passing the Environmental Protection and Management Act, developing a model agreement for access to genetic resources in Antigua and Barbuda as well as negotiating on issues related to biodiversity under the UN Convention of Biological Diversity and the related protocols. Nneka is a co-founder of an NGO based in Antigua and Barbuda called Intersect. Through Intersect, she has worked closely with the Directorate of Gender Affairs, most notably, to organize the Orange Rally for the opening of the 16 Days of Activism in 2015. She has also participated in outreach to high school and college aged students about the importance of consent, human trafficking and respecting personal boundaries. She has been vocal about police brutality against vulnerable members of society, homophobia and domestic violence. Nneka loves exploring the world through reading, especially by Black authors anywhere in the diaspora. She enjoys travelling to new countries and experiencing their cultures (especially the food!).

Samiesha Fairley -

Public Relations and Marketing 2019

Samiesha graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Psychology and a minor in Diversity. She currently works for the global real estate company Hines. Giving back to her community has always been an important part of her life. Some of her teenage memories include serving food at the Union Gospel Mission shelter with her father. As an adult, Samiesha continues to volunteer and has been involved with Mary’s Place, Jacob’s Well, YouthCare, and the Pipeline Project. Being involved with these organizations has helped her feel closer to the community she serves and has taught her invaluable lessons.

Ramona Zischke -

Donations Account Manager 2019

Ramona has been involved in healthcare academically and professionally for many years. She is currently employed as an Account Executive for a local health care provider, and has experience in patient care as a Physical Therapy Aide.  Ramona is passionate about building strong foundations in the community for women to grow and prosper. She strives to connect with others and learn their story. Ramona hopes to empower women who have had less fortunate stories and encourage those individuals to fight with the strength they carry within themselves.
